Through these partnerships DEMEP draws its resources from local and national universities, community colleges, research institutions, private consultants, and a Network of 51 MEP Centers located in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. With these unique relationships, the Delaware MEP can provide its clients confidential access to their industries best practices, processes and business improvement methodologies.
DEMEP and the MEP National Network have developed a collection of tools, products and services customized to meet the unique needs of Delaware’s Manufacturers, Financial Institutions, and Health care and Service Providers.
Today, a wide variety of Delaware’s most forward-thinking firms turn to DEMEP for strategic programs designed to enable them to remain globally competitive. As the area’s top resource for manufacturing support and industry-specific expertise, DEMEP experts assess needs and opportunities, identify appropriate local, regional and national resources, and create and manage successful partnerships. The result? Improved quality, productivity and profitability.
In 1994, DEMEP was established with a mandate to provide and transfer Lean Best Practices and Quality Systems Training to the manufacturing community. Since then, DEMEP programs and practices have expanded to include planning, energy, tech transfer, innovation engineering and a host of other tools to drive the quality levels, productivity levels and profitability of the many companies it has served in Delaware.
And now, methodologies initially applied in the Manufacturing setting have been expanded to support Healthcare and Service & Government entities. DEMEP now offers both Lean and Quality Systems Training and in-house implementations to the healthcare, service and government communities. This expansion allows the established and proven tools to be implemented throughout the state, thus enabling even more organizations the ability to enhance their process performance and profitability. In so doing, the substantial economic impact that DEMEP has made on the State of Delaware continues to grow.
