Lean Office & Administration: Value Stream Mapping for Non-Production Processes

Training Event: In the past, companies have traditionally focused their lean efforts on the Shop floor, realizing roadblocks as they interface with the administrative functions of the organization. This workshop walks participants through the application of Lean to non-production processes. Participants will also learn how to see the waste in these processes by applying value stream mapping techniques to these processes. A case study involving a non-production Value Stream Mapping exercise is included.

Prerequisite: The Principles of Lean Manufacturing

Recommended Prerequisite: Value Stream Mapping

Implementation: A non-production Value Stream Mapping Implementation includes the training as identified above and the application of the tools to a specific non-production process. The creation of the current and future state maps provides the roadmap for achieving a Lean Administrative process.
