Training: This
seven day seminar prepares the team leader to guide the team through
a methodical process of problem solving and solution identification.
This methodical approach uses the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze,
Improve, and Control) approach with the steps incorporating
traditional "Total Quality" tools. This team based approach is
designed to insure that problems are clearly defined, root causes
are identified and solutions stick. Green Belts are team leaders so
the course materials focus more on methodology and hands on "doer"
approach and leaves the statistics and number crunching to the Black
Belt. Day six is devoted to a thorough recap of the projects that
the trainees have undertaken with an eye to helping them fine tune
what they have done, make sure that they have done their best to get
a root cause and set the stage for continual improvement. Day seven
is devoted to the next project. Sustain is the hardest part of
implementing any new program. We want to insure that you are on the
road to maximizing your return on the investment of your Green Belt
training. On day seven each trainee or team of trainees will present
the design phase of the next project and a snap shot of how they
plan to approach the measure phase. The trainees and instructors
will discuss each to help insure the define stage provides a solid
foundation for the work to come and a well thought out measure phase
for a highly probability of success.
