Training:
A Lean Enterprise relentlessly drives
“Non-Value-Added” waste by improving the flow of materials and
information. It is imperative that companies apply lean
thinking to all processes – administration as well as
operations. By redesigning key business processes, tremendous
benefits to the organization can be realized.
This eight hour workshop is based on the Shingo Prize winning
book of the same title. It reviews the eight basic wastes in
the context of administrative or service processes. The manner
by which Lean Thinking is applied to information intensive e
processes is then explored by making use of Value Stream Mapping
– the assessment and planning tool of lean practitioners.
Participants will learn to use this tool to: define the current
state of an existing business process: re-designing the process
based on the lean concepts; develop an Implementation Pan for
the future state model. A case study is provided to enhance the
learning process.
Who Should attend:
Anyone from a manufacturing or service organization who is
involved in administrative or information intensive processes,
including managers.
